Read on Lohud: Pace Students Work to Outlaw “Wildlife Killing Contests”

Big news from the Empire State! Governor Kathy Hochul recently signed a historic bill banning wildlife killing contests, thanks to the relentless efforts of Pace University’s Animal Advocacy Clinic. This victory was years in the making, but with perseverance and passion, they made it happen.
Open to all majors, the Animal Advocacy Clinic is an experiential course that teaches students professional policy and advocacy skills through the practice of direct lobbying of legislatures and agencies regarding animal and wildlife welfare issues. The primary client of the clinic is the Humane Society of the United States – New York.
